    Seriously dandruffy dog

I did wonder about some sort of trigger as it came on so suddenly but I can't think of what it may have been. Molly can become anxious quite easily but only briefly and this has been going on for almost 2 months. I think you may be right about the dermatologist. Thanks both.

    Seriously dandruffy dog

Very early in January Molly was prescribed a low dose of steroids and some nutritional support stuff called Nutrameg because she was beginning to show signs of itchiness, her coat was looking dry and she had developed dandruff. The dandruff appeared quite suddenly. The vet decided she was...

    Black spots

Good grief  this was not what I was expecting when I started reading about 'black spots' - a very unusual beauty pageant !

    Excitment and Hackles

Molly is just the same too and has been like this since she was a pup. What she often does next though, is to cringe and roll on to her back, exposing her belly to any approaching dog. I take this all to mean that she is very excited, also a little anxious and keen to appease - just in case.

    Gundog Training Holiday

This sounds like a great thing to do. I guess by staying within the training aura for several days, things sink in more firmly and as everyone's working with the same aim it's a more conducive to learning. I'll be very interested to hear how this goes.

    Small Black Dog fully retired

As that song said all those years ago "what a drag it is getting old". She's a loving happy little old dog though, bless her x

    Tatze is drooling excessively :(

Very worrying and scary. Fingers crossed she's OK now, asking for their grub is always a comforting sign

    What's.....

Well, if so, that is appalling.

    What's.....

Why, with all the health disadvantages that are 'reportedly' well known and accepted, do vets recommend castration from 7 months then? Does that make any kind of sense? Surely it can't be simply because they assume every new pup owner will allow their dogs to roam freely and mate freely? All...

    Echo - Guide Dog

Ah, bless him, gorgeous pup  I hope he's over the bug soon.

Oh dear, long line for the boy

Good luck with that. Unfortunately we have had to dismantle our bird feeder for much the same reason. 2 squirrels have become so tame they actually wait for the thing to be filled up, almost tapping their fingers with impatience. The worst things though are the rats - whole families of them...

    Squidge's plumbing

That is very interesting and not something that has ever occurred to me. Molly does occasionally have duck necks, so useful to be aware of this. Thank you @M.F. I hope you get to the cause of this problem with her @snowbunny . I guess she couldn't have anything as simple as weak muscle...
