Thanks @MellowYellow, that is very encouraging. I have had five bitches spayed over the years and not one needed a buster collar or body suit! I just have the feeling that this one will!

I have just heard that Flicka has a date for her keyhole spay on 17th March. I had booked her in for a conventional spay at my vet, but got worried about her jumping and licking her wound, she is a great licker! She lets herself in and out of dog flap to do her toileting and doesn't understand...

As they get older @MellowYellow, it feels like walking on a tightrope. However, Poppy sounds brighter and as you said looked bright, sounds as if the treatment will do the trick.

So upsetting that a bright little dog Eric had the rare cancer and died so quickly, I am so sorry for his owners and you must miss him so much as well.

I am so sad for Roxy's owners, a good age to get a Labrador to, but that in a way, makes it all the harder. :cry:

Hence I vowed never to have a puppy again under six months of age!

@Selina27 the movement puzzles sound interesting, what are they? I am guilty of doing nothing with Flicka apart from the two walks a day and a little retrieving training on the morning walk.

@Joy, a friend had a dog who would not retrieve or pick up the item, one day, in desperation, she rubbed the dummy with cheesy. biscuits and that was the breakthrough. I think you can buy a retrieve article that has a treat inside, that may make him more interested to approach the retrieve and...

I was persuaded to try Millies Wolfheart and she has been perfect on that, it is 50% duck, but there are many different recipes, give them a ring. Flicka came to me on rubbish dog food £16 a sack! I put her on James Wellbeloved Lamb and Rice puppy but still her poos were like cow pats...

Some dogs are allergic to chicken. I put Flicka on Millies Wolfeart, but first of all I gave her the Biome food to sort her tummy.
