Me too, got worried as I am also getting a pair for Christmas in preparation for all the walking when the pup can go out :)

As a new puppy mum, I will be watching this thread closely! Was already thinking I am using too many treats to reinforce the good behaviour, but I see from above I am not, it will pay off in the long run

We used Drontal puppy suspension which the breeder had used previously before he came to us, but will definitely ask the vet for advice for next time when we are there next

Thanks Emily, we are back at vets soon for last vaccinations so will have a word with them and see what they say. Am sure they will be enough crazy puppy moments without us making them worse :ROFLMAO:

Devil possessed is exactly what he was like! And then so shattered last night we had to wake him up to go outside before bed. Seems to be fine now, playing and ate breakfast as normal. Think we will be using something else next time!

Thought we were having a good day with Buddy today, more settled, loved having a shower (he was a bit stinky when we got him home) and only one accident inside (which was my fault for not taking him out quick enough), but after a dose of Drontal that he was due he has been a nightmare! Much more...

Pudding comes after your main course and Yorkshire pudding comes with roast dinner. My mum does mashed potato as well as roasties with Xmas dinner :ROFLMAO:

Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone. Had a better first night than I anticipated, he was more reluctant than me to get out of bed to go outside, and all good at vet health check today, he weighs 9kg already!

We are in Harrogate. Will update everyone tomorrow on how our first night goes, fingers crossed its not too bad!

@snowbunny yes, we are in the UK, we live in Yorkshire. Fully expecting there to be plenty of chaos :ROFLMAO: think he is lulling us into a false sense of security today, there has been lots of naps but dont expect that to last!

Thanks everyone. He is our first pup, husband grew up with dogs and has wanted one for ages, but we had to wait until we moved house to get one. Had a good first day so far, am sure there is plenty of fun, games and chaos to come :):)
