Maybe get the vet to say hello to her and give a treat at each of her de-sensitising visits? Then stick to that vet only? Poor lamb! Edited to say - Doh! Just read Carol's post above. That's what happens when I come in late and skip read.

I've tried Dunlop, Muck Boots and Hunters. The Dunlops (2 pairs) split within 3 months as did the really expensive Hunters. The Muck Boots have given the best service, generally splitting after 12 - 18 months. I've decided to stick with them as they are medium priced and seem to do the job...

Lady would have a chauffeur …….. Probably a Bentley so she could get a proper stretched out sleep on the back seat with treats on tap when needed in the mini bar.

Sorry but I'm being a bit thick - where on the petition is the space for a comment. We holiday in Cornwall every year and an important factor is the availability of dog friendly beaches.

I shouldn't let it get to you. The guy sounds to me like a thoroughly unpleasant type who has little clue about dog behaviour. My dog Lady is as soft as anything except in certain circumstances when she is on a lead and feels threatened by another dog. She will lunge and attack unexpectedly...

Nope! You are all wrong. I did not crack and she gave up after about 45 minutes. :monkey: In all honesty I had to get something out of the kitchen and she followed me thinking she'd won then gave up and went to bed. :)

I tried a human fitbit on Lady to see how many steps she did on a walk and it didn't work. I think the fitbit didn't recognise the dog gate as actual walking.

Yes - literally like little sickles! We have to make sure the tips are kept clipped but I, of course, hadn't checked for a bit. My excuse is a new hip and therefore having other things on my mind. |(

No the vet will usually do it and won't take any nonsense from the dog. (y)

Lady hates anything with an electric motor anywhere near her so I'm down to clippers and/or sand paper.

I give her the liquid stuff measured in a syringe. She is 30kg but I give her a dose for a 20kg dog.
