Oh my, poor Quinn. Good to hear she seems to be coping well and that emergency surgery wasn’t needed right away at any rate. Thinking of you today and sending hugs.:hug:

You must feel a little happier that at least Quinn seems more comfortable. Hope they can get to the bottom of things quickly now. Thinking of you xx

She's been on pain meds for a few days...I think they just mean she isn't freaking out in her new surroundings/crate.

Update from surgeon: they were able to get samples from the fluids in her abdomen area and it is showing that is likely a cystic structure and there is puss showing sepsis. There is another pocket of fluid on her spleen which is clear. They have ruled out pancreatitis or foreign object and are saying it is likely an abscess. She has been started on antibiotics and will definitely be going into surgery today. We should know more this afternoon following surgery.

We believe this is directly related to her previous surgery, but won't know for sure until they call after surgery.

It looks like they are narrowing down the possible causes, which is some small consolation I guess....poor Quinn. Fingers crossed for a smooth surgery xx
