How is Iver doing? Poor boyHe's actually is worse today, but we're hopefully the treatment will help
He's not much better his voice has improved and he's a bit more lively so there has been a slight improvement. ThanksHow is Iver doing? Poor boyHas Rory managed not to catch it?
Absolutely brilliant! Well done Fred.Fred's head was pointing out of the door and he was still watching the puppy and wagging his tail like mad. Christophe without a word bent down and listern to Fred's chest and examined his body. I just kept saying oh what a lovely little puppy Fred, lots of tail wagging. It was all over and he didn't even know it.
He's ok but not better. Thanks@SwampDonkey I've only just seen your posts about Iver - is he any better?
They've seen him twice and he may end up their again. He doesn't cough or retch if his neck or throat is aggravated it's just a rasping round his larynx. He's not damaged his throat that we are aware of there's nothing stuck down there they've looked. Both times he's had a temperature and he did loose his voice. He couldn't bark or growl and would pant heavily and his breathing is was noisy when galloping about. A lot has changed after his course of antibiotics he can bark and growl and is prancing about normally. His voice is not back to normal. He's not right yet but so much better, but I'm worried. I'm hoping his voice does get back to normal and he's ok again.Whats the vet said Sarah @SwampDonkey
Our vet has his 2 golden retrievers lying around the reception area. They also walk in and out of his consulting room and the back surgery area and kennel holding area. The one is particularly affectionate and leans against you for strokes. They greet all the dogs and cats who come in. I love them! The vet said they make everything feel normal and are good for anxious dogs to have around. That's such great news @Cath , so lovely!
Seems like vets should have a Puppy in Residence for anxious dogs !
Strangely neither of them like honeyI'm just catching up and so sorry to hear that Ivor has not been well. I really, really, really, hope the antibiotics do thier trik and he fights the virus. Sending huge big hugs to you all. Has he had some honey to sooth his throat?
