Doggy brags

Iver helped out with my walking problems for the first time today. I shown him what to do a few times and he got used to me using him to stabilise myself then use him to pull me out of trouble. I got into difficulties to day and called him to me as he was closest. He came calmly let me get my balance then walked me out. So calm so good and you could tell he knew he was helping and he was pleased with himself but calm and careful. So proud of him such a darling. It was doubly hard as he had no harness on and I was just holding onto him. Love him. I did not fall😊

Such a good boy, Iver

Coco, who is 9 and a half, has managed to pass 2 dogs this week without exploding in a ball of excitement. One was a dog we see often, who used to be terrible for barking and pulling (sunds familiar eh, Coco?) - he has made massive progress. The man made him sit as we passed on the opposite side of the narrow road (that used to be me waiting for someone to pass by). The other was a new dog (Westie-type) wh had to pass us un the pavement. Coco was in a sit, waiting to cross the road, and he remained in a sit - albeit observing with that devillish spark in his eye. Hooray Coco! This has taken 8 years - never give up.

There was a 3rd, but he lost it. A man with an elderly but sprightly Collie just opened the boot of his car as we arrived back to our car. Coco was beside himself and almost wrenched my arm out as he tried to jump into the back of their car! Oh well Coco, 2 out of 3 aint bad. The man was very understanding and we had a chat while the dogs sniffed bums, tails wagging.
