Another decent night at Dog School. Meg(an) Sparkle didn't go for anyone. We had to pass by Ruby lots of times (a lovely black Lab), Meg hates her, but I really relaxed my lead and my arm and Meg just trotted next to me (and my bit of pizza crust).
We had a boys vs girls challenge - 4 women & dogs facing 4 men dogs, walk towards each other, then on the word, down you dogs by your side. Meg & Bertie let the girls down by not lying down straight along side, they went on an angle. I did a little bit of practice during the "play with you dog" bit, then we did it again and she was perfect. As was Bertie. Girls won! (Coco didn't let the boys down, a couple of others did though).

I called out 'Joy, sit!' She sat. 'Joy, stay.' She stayed. I kept calmly(ish!) repeating 'Stay' as they all zoomed past her and she did! She just sat calmly looking at me as all twelve went past. The last one shouted 'Thankyou' to me, then added over his shoulder 'Very impressive!' I called back 'I thought so too!' Then went and made a mega mega fuss of her with loads of liver paste. OK, it's something we get to practice pretty much every day because most of our walks are in part on the towpath, but I don't care what anyone says, that really was an impressive Sit Stay with all that whizzing going on and it kept GGJ and everyone else safe and so today she's the best little dog in the whole wide world and I couldn't be more proud of her! Brag done! Time for shower and pyjamas and in a while that G&T with a banana, yoghurt and squeeze cheese Kong for my own GoodGirl!
