Doggy brags

Meg did more than half of dog class last night, NEXT TO her arch enemy, Ivy the BC. She didn't bat an eyelid, no snarling, lunging, staring or growling. So pleased.
This is great! How's Meg getting along in general, she sounds a fab match for Coco anyhow, but is she any less stressed around strangers coming close by now?

Cupar recalled from chasing a cat,I have to say I'm feeling so proud of him and myself. I had just let him off lead because the footpath is enclosed and I can see people or dogs coming but hadn't reckoned on a cat appearing out of the bushes. The 3 of us froze for a few seconds, cat bolted, Cupar took off after it and I called his name and my boy stopped in his tracks and raced back to me.

Over the weekend, my sister and two nieces came to stay with my mum and we spent a lot of time with them; on Saturday we all went for a walk in the morning, then went round for socially-distanced fish & chips and a board game in the garden, then on Sunday morning another walk before they left for home.
Besides the socialising, I was concerned about Kipper as he's not used to spending time with a group, and our routines are fairly clear - so I thought he might not settle, or beg for food, or generally just look for attention if he wasn't getting enough. He was such a good boy, and settled well while we were chatting. He didn't try to snaffle any fish & chips on laps and left on low tables . He recalled pretty well on our walks, was lovely and chilled and didn't get needy at all. I did pay him a lot of attention, but that was also my coping strategy for being among people (with inconsistent social distancing ) for the first time in ages. We were so proud how cool he was, and how well he adapted to strange routines. I need to cut his rations for the next couple of days as he had a lot of rewards, but v proud of our boy.
Edited to say - he did steal 2 different pairs of shoes, but graciously swapped them when asked (definitely down to training and not the high value salmon treats my sister brought him...).
