Well done Maisy @Shaz82 , deer chasing is a big problem with Toffee since the beginning of this year, we have been working really hard on this. I did think I was having some success but recently he has taken to ignoring recall whistles altogether :facepalm: not just when deer chasing, my trainer is working with us on this. I think it’s really good the 'out of sight, out of mind' works with Maisy :nod: .

Rourke is on lead walk for 20 minutes a day but can have five minutes off lead. I saw an interesting hole in a very wide hedge and thought it would give him some interest in going into to it. So I sent him in and then to my horror heard a galloping of hooves and then a muntjac came out of the hedge higher up with Rourke hot on its heels! I blew the stop whistle and he stopped and came back :giggle:

Chewie had his 4yr old vet checkup and vaccinations last week and he was so brave. He got onto the scales with minimal prompting and was wiggly and happy as usual out the front and with the vet. He isn't the biggest fan of examination but was okay with lots of dried lamb treats. Unfortunately the vet practice uses chicken treats so I have to BYO.

The vet also thought he is in great condition at 27kg and his teeth look good. :partyhat:

We caught up with friends we haven’t seen for a couple of years this evening, and Kipper was a superstar - he settled under the table brilliantly for two hours, while a fair bit of activity went on around him including some rather noisy trains (we were at a pub next to a train line). We’ve been practicing a bit but not in a very targeted way - he really did do so well.
