Doggy brags

Well done Wispa and you @Granca , for your commitment in making things better for her.
Does Tuppy struggle with the vet too?
Yes, she does, but not in the seemingly aggressive way that Wispa did. Although she’s a bit of a quivering wreck, she allows a certain amount of examination, eg leg extensions. Wispa originally had to be held - and I couldn’t guarantee she wouldn’t snap if she was frightened, whereas Tuppy just ducks put of the way! Today the vet immediately let Wispa off her lead in the consulting room and sat on the floor with her while she licked him!
I had thought of asking for desensitising sessions for Tuppy too, but then Covid intervened. The vet seems happy with her as she is - she‘s ‘needy’ and a bit neurotic at times (currently pushing her paws against my feet on the sofa as she has a rather active dream, no doubt re-living this morning’s trauma!). The vet says one of his dogs is similarly ‘needy’!

Rourke loves going to the vets so much, he drags me in, much to my embarrassment. Pleased to say he has improved(I thought I was going to lose him on Friday), he is now on Gabapentin. Fingers crossed.
Ivers quite poorly at the moment and been suffering from a weird virus from 24/08/23. He's just not recovering so we've got crossed fingers here too

Sending lambies to both Rourke and Iver :thelambiesarecoming: :thelambiesarecoming: :thelambiesarecoming:

I have just got to tell you about Fred and the puppy. Like many of you know Fred hates the vets. No vet has been able to examine him since he was 3, he is now coming up to 10.

We have just come back from France and we have to take Fred and Annie to get their passports sorted and get a tablets each. We take them to Docteur Christophe. Well the vet didn't have the tablets in his room so opened the door onto the reception to get them. There was a lovely little yellow labrador puppy about 12 weeks old. Fred saw it and started to wag his tail. Oh what a lovely little puppy I said to Fred, has Christophe came back into the room, Fred's head was pointing out of the door and he was still watching the puppy and wagging his tail like mad. Christophe without a word bent down and listern to Fred's chest and examined his body. I just kept saying oh what a lovely little puppy Fred, lots of tail wagging. It was all over and he didn't even know it. I turned to Christophe can we have a puppy every visit.

I was so pleased I was walking on air.
