She woke me up at about 6.15 as she usually does, by gently nudging me with her nose. Out for a wee then back to bed for both of us and slept until 7.30 which was heaven! She's eating really well, wagging and following me around. She's rather quiet and subdued still but not in a worrying way, I'm sure this is only to be expected after all she's been through. I have spent the day doing long overdue cleaning and Joy has slept lots, which is good. A little more animated on our short walk thisafternoon. Back to the local vet tomorrow for a check up. I do feel I'm seeing a gradual but steady improvement in her. Looking forward to her being back to normal again.

Just sat down with a glass of wine, having given up all hope of alcohol free evenings this week. Usually if I have a glass of wine I give Joy Kong, but I didn't expect her to be interested in one tonight. Well! What a Look she gave me! She then put her paw on my knee! I dutifully went to the freezer and now she's tucking into a banana and yoghurt Kong with gusto. A dog on the mend, I'd say! Just wonderful.

Joy being scared of eating reminded me of a boy we have at school who had very bad reflux and still has reflux problems. He only has rice cakes for lunch.
