Have you tried slippery elm? It is often used for humans (my father swore by it when he was finding it hard to digest food during his cancer), but it can also be used for dogs, see here Slippery Elm

I have heard of Slippery Elm. He is on Omaprazole as an anti acid but I know of others on a facebook page that use Slippery Elm.

He hasn't needed his anxiety medication for a while. We have Sertraline for him and Xanax. Luckily he loves goin gto the vet so much! I think he finds the vet calming as he gets love and treats!

Homer has been really 
today. Yesterday I collected a special Bailey chair from a lady whose GSD passed away due to aspersion but I haven’t been able to get Homer near to getting into it yet. So he had his dinner in his now usual standing up at table.
This afternoon he was still retching up bits of his mashed kibble so I blended his food to see if that would get down but it’s still making it’s was out.
I need to give him his 10pm dose of medication but he’s just going to bring it up at this rate.
I’m feeling a lot of despair. I’ve only got one more week of school holidays left to get this managed better.

You must be feeling despair, I am so sad for you. I think you are seeing a specialist? If not, or indeed if, is it worth going to a veterinary hospital for a 2nd (3rd!) opinion.

Yes, we are seeing a specialist. I’m going to change his food back to Royal canine hypoallergenic. Even though I bought two trays of Purina tins last week.
