Rourke's hock is similar, but his is a bigger lump. Rourke's is arthritis. This is a picture of Harley’s leg/hock/paw. It is her right rear. As you can see, she doesn’t straighten it and her paw isn’t flat. She’s been struggling more as the day has gone on

Ring your vet for better pain relief you've probably going to have to deal with the weekend so get stocked up with proper effective pain relief so she can cope easier. Just let her potter round the garden and use any means which help support her.We have tried heat and cold and neither seems to help (doesn’t help that she won’t keep it on for more than 2 minutes!).
She’s always on tiptoe on that foot and when she walks her hock nearly hits the floor. We went for a 5 min walk yesterday (end of our road and back), most of it was sniffing but she struggled on that leg for ages afterwards.
That is an excellent idea, I will try it with Rourke, thank you.Poor doggie. If you apply heat would it help ease it a bit? You can put a dishcloth in the microwave for a few seconds to heat it up and then wrap around the leg.
Is she taking her pain relief @Naya?when she walks her hock nearly hits the floor.
