Interesting. We paid $2500 for Chewie in 2018, very similar background to Ella with the KC registration and show champions in his pedigree. I guess prices go up over time and maybe there are regional differences as well.We paid $1,800 for Ella back in 2015. When doing our research, we found most KC labs on limited register were going for $1,500-2,000.
Ella is KC registered with show champions on both sides, although in recent years the champions are all on dad's side.
Especially when they need to go to the vet because they ate something silly!I prefer not to think about it![]()
Yep (except the bandanasI always think it's funny that people even think of the initial price of the dog. It's going to cost you many, many multiples of that for medical care, food, training, BANDANAS, etc.
My neighbour who lives in the old rectory, has the most beautiful, large garden, mostly lawn, ideal for dogs and countryside on the doorstep for good walks, is going to be looking for a failed guide dog in the very near future, I believe they are quite hard to come by?Withdrawn guide dog pups?
they are £350

24 for the twins, including one double FTCh (GB and Ireland), plus 7 FTWs.He has 17 out of 62 Field Trial Champs in his pedigree. No wonder he’s been hard work!
Not really, but you have to be persistent. If you don’t get one because one isn’t available they don’t keep a list. You have to apply again, and again. My neighbour who lives in the old rectory, has the most beautiful, large garden, mostly lawn, ideal for dogs and countryside on the doorstep for good walks, is going to be looking for a failed guide dog in the very near future, I believe they are quite hard to come by?
Murffi my crazy cocker has an all red pedigree. Every dog in his 5 generation pedigree is a field trial champion. It explains a lot!24 for the twins, including one double FTCh (GB and Ireland), plus 7 FTWs.![]()
Murffi didn't cost me anything other than a lot of grey hairs. He is definitely a cautionary tale. Lethal combination of field trialling bred dog being sold to novice owners. He turned 10 last month. His ears are still as gorgeous as ever, and what's between his ears is still as scrambled as everThat's bonkers! I didn't get the twins for their pedigree at all (as you know, it was "a story"), and I see it as a mixture of quite impressive and a cautionary tale![]()
