My Clumber Ziggy has sired four litters but I have never bred from my girls. Too nerve wrecking and stressful for my liking.

This is what happens when half decent breeders stop breeding. The cost goes up and unscrupulous people see a way to make money.
These pups are bred in Ireland, they're then put on a ferry and dropped off for some stranger to collect. There was a few places near us that sold puppy farmed pups, the SSPCA would get one shut and they would move somewhere else.
The last horror story I read was that these pups were being sold from the more upmarket homes, which led people to believe they must be genuine. You know because everyone that lives on a council estate is all thieves and charlatans.

We have an incredible amount of people sending enquires for puppies. So much so that we have no availability until November!! People are on waiting lists for puppies from bitches who haven’t even been bred yet, let alone the ones that are still cooking! It’s crazy.

Here they average 1200-2400 a puppy (All breeds) with papers in the 2400 range
Used to be 800-1600, when Cammy and Charly were bought. Those are retreivers. Charly was show quality, and 1400
Litters are all spoken for, and my theory is that with so many wanting puppies, breeders have raised prices to be sure that only serious buyers come for the puppies they breed. If you aren't dead serious about wanting that puppy, are you paying two and a half grand for it? more whimsical owners are more likely to look for cheaper puppies..less of an investment.
we were all set to pay $2400 for a shephard, but decided that it might be too high energy for Shamas. Now we are waiting for a Bernese/Chesakep bay to reach the age to leave mom.
