Loo roll stock pile

@Cupcase was in Sainsburys yesterday and they had none but they said they were just about to refill their shelves and i was in Poundstretchers at Heathfield and they had loads, along with soap and handwash.

I did laugh on FB when i saw someone post that they had a 18 pack of toilet roll and they were happy to swop for 3 bedroom bungalow in Alloway

There's no consistency here, Aldi has loads, and sainsburys just a mile or so away has none. 🤷‍♀️
I hate hand gel. The very first time we had to use it was in 2002 and my dad had a heart bypass and had severe complications. His kidneys and liver were struggling and his lungs were full of fluid. He was in the bit of Intensive care where each bed has its own nurse. Of course, we used the gel numerous times every visit, he was there over 5 weeks.

The smell and feel of it instantly transports me back to those awful days and weeks when it was touch and go for him on three or four occasions.

I do carry a small bottle with me and do use it, but much prefer a good hand wash instead.

@Natalie I don't like sanitisers, I have to be careful what gets used on my hands. You however it's an association with a not very pleasant memory. Which is understandable. I don't feel like my hands are clean after using them.

I buy Pure Soft 3ply. TBH there isn't a huge choice in Shoprite, but it's nicer than Andrex. I noticed they had some Sainsbury's TP in today - we've switched from Waitrose to Sainsbury's for "own brand" stuff.

Not a fan of hand sanitiser here either. I carry a teeny one for poo-bag accidents but always use soap & water where possible.

I tend to use Andrex as in Scotland we had a weird drainage system that would bung up if you put anything cheap or suspect down it. Probably needn’t be so fussy now we’re here.
