Poor lad, but he will be relieved to be home, though I still think it is far too early so soon after the op. It is over and done now and you can relax.
How is Merlin doing Karen ? How are you ? Im hoping Merlin is back to normal this morning and wondering why he’s having to wear a T-shirt and why he’s got less to lick.
Hi all, thank you for your concern and questions! Merlin is doing really well - he was a bit dopey yesterday, but was better towards the evening and drank some water and ate a bit of supper. Today he is much brighter, but obviously in some discomfort (not surprisingly). He has eaten, drunk, weed and pooed. We have taken him out to the woods several times just for 10 minutes or so to have a good sniff around. His wound is covered up by a plaster but the surrounding area looks fine. He's not allowed up on furniture and is anyway quite hesitant to get up so we have set up spots on the floor where we can cuddle with him. He's not wearing his medivest because he is very good about not licking the wound, so we will only put it on if we have to leave him alone at all (we are very vigilant!).
Here we are snuggling on the floor yesterday evening:
Now we just have the horrid wait until the results come back from the lab regarding the testes... Praying its not testicular cancer. His blood test was not brilliant, the red and white blood counts were a little out of line. But it is what it is, and at least they are out now.
