The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

That photo is HILARIOUS!!!!!! What a wonderful thing to capture!
I did think that was rather funny. I was killing time in the Eurotunnel - Carbon looked so cute with his head on his pillow that of course a photo had to be taken. I didn't realise until I looked at it later that he had that "You are out of your tree!" look on his face. Well, now I know what he REALLY thinks of me. :wasntme:

Just to second Carbon's update, we've indeed arrived safely at the very swanky Ibis Budget Regensburg. I made really good time today, with two rest stops and a couple more petrol stops totalling 11,5 hours. The combo of caffeine and just road fatigue made things very bizarre at the end and I still feel like I'm vibrating, even after a nice shower. I definitely don't need to do that ever again unless (again) it's an emergency. I don't feel any part of the drive was unsafe as I pulled over and slept when I needed to, it just wasn't very nice. Carbon was a trooper and snoozed the whole time except for wee breaks when he dutifully wee-ed and poo-ed on cue. This pup is a super star. :star:

Tomorrow is easy as I just need to do a bit of re-packing for the plane, drop the car and keys off to Nadine and catch the train to the Munich airport. Unfortunately due to the last minute arrangements, we don't have an extra-space seat, but the Lufthansa medical desk advised asking for a last-minute change at the airport. Fingers crossed the plane isn't full and they can accommodate us. Even if they can't, we'll make the most of it. Carbon at least has three positive flights under his belt in addition to the one bad one: hopefully he'll do his normal Carbon thing and take it all with a "Meh" even if we don't get a good seat.

I talked to my father and Donna yesterday. She is waiting to go home from the hospital and will be getting hospice care at home. She also has a huge and wonderful family to help her in addition to my father. She sounded a little hoarse but otherwise as fiesty and good-spirited as she always is. She is a tough, tough lady. I'm glad I'll get to spend as much time as possible with her and do whatever I can for my father. Not sure what that is yet: as I've said, I think mainly I'm accompanying Dr. Carbon who will provide his special kind of therapy!

I hope all goes well for you and Carbon on the flight. May you give some kind of peace and support to your Father and Donna at this time.
Take care of yourself Emily

The Beanwood gang are thinking of you....Benson is a bit concerned re: the state of your ears after all that driving...Bramble just wants to cuddle on your lap, Casper wants to gaze at you with his serious big dark eyes.....Otter well, she just wants to play zoomies with Carbon!

Wishing you a comfortable flight, and I know your visit will mean so much to the both of them at this difficult time xx:hug::hug:

Oh Emily, just reading that Donna will come home to hospice care, I am so sad for you and your dad and Donna. I wish for you all a miracle. I bet Dr Carbon will provide the best medicine of all. Safe flight. xxx

Too much excitement today - got threatened with the police over my parking pass (long story) and nearly missed my train. Poor Nadine is going to have to find a new German home for the TARDIS - I feel very ick leaving her with a mess but she was gracious and calm about it all. I could be just a tad overemotional, true enough!

Before all that went down, Carbon and Fine had a brief reunion:IMG_20191030_104123.jpg
