The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

Heh, heh...and apparently there are fine nuances of poo, just like wine. He won't eat other dogs' poo (thank goodness for small favors) but his own his DEEELICIOUS!
Rourke only eats his best friend's poo, the Greyhound's, especially if it is straight from th bum:puke:

I am sorry to read about Donna, but Dr Carbon will have helped so much in a very sad situation.

Glad you made it there ok! Sorry Carbon had a rough time, though... will it be extra legroom seats from now on or will you try to get him ok with the smaller space?
I've already got an extra legroom seat reserved for the flight back. If I need to change my return date at the last minute, we'll be back in the same situation as for the flight over (regular seating). We'll work on the small space issue, though it's kind of hard to replicate the take off/landing part.

Any fire worries where you are at? From here it seems like the whole state is aflame :(
Not where my dad is. There is however the threat of losing electrical, which is worrying, especially for Donna with all her many medical devices. There's also quite a bit of smoke in the air coming down from the fires north of San Francisco.

We could see the effects of the fires on the horizon across the bay from San Francisco when we were there last week. There were electric outages outside the city and we spoke to some people who had come into the city to stay in a hotel so they could have power as they had none in their homes. My watch made a really shrill warning sound a couple of times showing the outage warnings in Marin county. It was weird as we had glorious sunshine and totally clear views of the bay and bridges but sad to know people were evacuating their homes not far away - bittersweet

Definitely a bad situation. Even my father, who is as conservative as you can get, made the remark, "If people don't think climate change is real, they are out of their minds!". Fires have always been a problem this time of year in California, but not to the extent to what has become the new normal.

@Atemas you probably already know this but for others: the electrical outages are not caused by the fires. The electrical company (which was found negligent in causing the beginnings of the horrible fires last year) now shuts down power to large areas where any sparking could combine with weather conditions to be particularly dangerous. Parts of Sonoma have already been without power for more than 10 days.

Hola todos! Today ML took me to the beach because she says that even important doctors like myself need some tiempo libre, free time. We went to "Fort Funston" in San Francisco. It was Duncan and Brogan and Mama Jodhi's favourite place in the world and ML took them there every Sunday for muchos años, many years. Do not tell ML, but I think they were walking today with us too.

Cookie Man came with us because he needed some fresh air: this is my professional medical opinion. It was also his first time at Fort Funston. He has not spent a lot of time with me off lead and was a little worried that I would run away. Pfft! I do not run away, not when I have my ML and so many other humans to take care of. No, no: today I just wanted to run! And maybe eat some comida reciclada, recycled food. Or as ML calls it, "Oh. My. God. Carbon. Do. NOT. EAT THAT!!!".

En todo caso, in any case, it was very fun mini-vacaciones for a hard working dog such as myself. Then we went back to see my patient, Donna, and all her family. I provided lots of very important therapy all evening long. A doctor dog's work is never done!

Here is Cookie Man telling me what to do. I pay very close attention to be bien educado, polite - I am after all a Spanish Gentleman Dog - but mainly I just do what I want.

And me with ML. It is so foggy that you cannot even see the ocean right behind us!

Oh oh, Signor Carbon, you are el mejor perro médico, the BEST of all doctor dogs! And you are doing el trabajo mas importante , the most important work. I am certain that Duncan and Brogan and Mama Jodhi were galloping with you on your walk, and I suspect they're also with you in your doctoring duties.
It sounds like Cookie Man and Donna and Donna's family all need you very much and you will be helping a great deal. ML has a big and kind heart to share your special skills with so many others. She might be missing your time together just a little, yet she is muy compasivo.
Keep up the excellent work, beautiful Spanish Gentleman Dog, and keep giving ML many licks when you can.
