Does Señor Carbon know what a very fortunate dog he is?
I don't think Carbon cares that he's in Italy. He just wants his dinner and lots of COOKIES. 😁

Is there any traffic on the outskirts of Florence.
Oh my goodness yes. Traffic is hideous and terrifying here. I've driven a lot in Italy and each time vow never to do it again! 😂

It's very noisy and chaotic here. Very noisy. The places I've filmed videos have been no traffic zones (which doesn't stop the odd taxi or scooter from trying to kill you), because on the regular streets it's not wise to stop and film anything. I love Florence but it's exhausting. It's been a great visit, but I'm very ready to head to Venice tomorrow. No cars and nearly always a deserted back street to take off the main routes. 👍

I so enjoy just hearing the footsteps and voices of people, reminds me of Venice.
What's your favourite part of Venice? I'll go and film you a special video. 😊

What stunning pictures and videos Emily; you are both gorgeous and Carbon is so calm! Maxx would be leaping about like a loon

We were in Florence in December 2019 and your pictures are bringing back lovely memories. However our favourite place was Venice so I can't wait to see your pictures and videos! This was our view from our hotel room (sorry for hijacking)

Wowsa! That's some view!

It's supposed to rain the whole week I'm there, so a bit disappointed in that but not much I can do. It will still be beautiful and Carbon's rain gear is already in the suitcase. I've also splashed out on the apartment more than usual (though not as much as you did 😂) so I'm hoping it will be as comfy as it looks to just enjoy that too.

A rainy November day in Venice with Brogan:

Yes I guess when you have to spend the better part of 3 days just getting to Europe you tend to make the most of it! Although, our room wasn't that expensive considering it was right on the Grand Canal. About A$200 per night (GBP110 ish)

Thank you @Emily_Babbelhund, I think my favourite place was looking over a canal at the very old buildings opposite and realising that what I was seeing had been seen by many other eyes way back in time. However, I cannot remember the exact place! I loved the whole atmosphere of the place, the hushed footsteps and voices, the ring of the bells, the soft light.........can you capture the sounds at all?

Oh please video Venice , I havent been since I was about 17 and fell in love with a handsome Italian boy, tears when I left  But what happened in Venice , stays in Venice :mmm: You must take loads of photos please Emily , such a special city x
I fell in love when I was in Paris, met him on the first night I was there, cried when I left him. He did write, but I think I didn't write back as I had met Mike by then.
