The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

I'm sitting in bed suffering from real FOMO.
You got me to look up "FOMO". This is what I get for avoiding FB whenever possible: I'm not down with the lingo. :sneaky:

If it's any consolation, I'm nearing the end of my Cornwall bolthole sojourn and will shortly be thrust back into the world of living in a basement, pleading with my lawyer, wrestling with double US-Germany taxation and waiting in unending queues in the hope that I may qualify for a temporary German visa.

Then I'll be suffering FOMO right along with you if I dare to look back at my photos from the past three months!

It all looks absolutely wonderful, especially seeing Carbon so happy!
Despite his Señor Grumpypantalones moments, he is usually a very happy boy. I've said it before, but sometimes his tail even thumps in his sleep. That makes me laugh, which wakes him up and then he thumps even more. :D

Hola todoooos! Hello everyone!

Aye carumba, what a few days I have had. Shopping in Padstow where I got lots of cookies (that's biscuits to you Eeeenglish people) and got told I was such a brave and guapo Gentleman Dog. Then we drove and drove and drove but it was totally bien - OK! - with me because we stopped at the magical place that gives me chips to eat in the car. Que rico! Deeeelicious!

Then we got to Beanwood where I saw my friends and made a new friend, a mini Labrador named "Puppy Puppy Puppy!". I was a un poco confused because "Puppy Puppy Puppy!" is one of MY names. But this little PPP was fun because she has lots of great toys that I could borrow from her. Si, si: borrow. Gentleman Dogs do not steal. I would have given everything back in a few years. Promise!

PPP was also fun because I could lay on her and chew on her leg like I used to do with my Bodeguero amigo, Paul. And guess what? PPP did NOT like Mama Lady AT ALL, so I was not jealous. It all worked out perfecto!

We had many adventures, including a coffee shop, a swim and PPP's first run in the Big Grassy Place. I got a regalo, a gift, of a new bandana: it says a member of The Beanwood Gang. I think that means that I should live with my friends there ALL THE TIME, but ML says that I have an important job to do with her, so we just have to be happy visiting. I suppose that is fine with me, as long as we can visit a LOT.

This morning after our walk in the Big Grassy Place, ML and I went to see Pongo. His humans made a delicious lunch and I suspect they shared it with Pongo, but I was so tired that I did not care. I only cared about Pongo's magnificent bed. Que bonita la cama! It was not completely gentlemanly to not play with my friend Pongo, but I was so tired. ML says we can come back at the end of the week after my holiday and I can try again.

After ANOTHER drive, we are now in a little cottage. ML put out all my blankets so it is very comfortable. I have had my dinner and my sniff around the garden and now we are ready for bed. Tomorrow we will explore Wales. Or if it rains we will explore cuddles on the sofa. I know my ML: she likes wet from above about as much as I do!

But I really was hoping for photos of Carbón and PPP!
Go over to Otter's thread, there are some lovely ones. I can't compete with Kate's photo sessions, so I don't try. :p

I did take a few today that I'll have a look through. For tonight, I'm kind of in coma mode so let Carbon handle the update and he's not so good with the photos due to that whole "lack of opposable thumbs" thing. ;)

Oh, Carbon, you are truly muy guapo! Thank you for calling in yesterday to say hello and play with Pongo. You are such a very beautiful boy and I am rather hoping that you could teach Pongo some table manners.....?
 Mmm...unless by 'table manners' you mean stealing bread loaves, I'm not sure there is much Carbon can teach Pongo.

We went to Rhosseli today per your suggestion and walked along the coast - it was glorious! I even saw some seals playing in the water. AND there was fresh sheep poo for Carbon. Tonight we're both tired and happy and more than a little wind-burnt. :D
