My dogs used to do that too when we went to Scotland. Maybe it was the smell of the sea air, but they always sensed when we were nearly there.

Although I’m sorry for everyone in the UK who is fed up with all the rain (or even worse , had bad things happen during the storm) , for me personally I’m 1000% fine with the rain. I’ve had three days of rain in the last 3 months , so I’m ready for a cosy dreary Cornish day!

I’ve got heaps of laundry to do and unpacking of all my treasures. I packed for Cornwall back in September, so I can’t even remember everything that I decided to bring. Again…like a treasure hunt.

I’m about to get out Carbón’s Monkey and he’s going to go doolally. I’ve got ALL his beloved babies with us, but will bring them out one at a time to make it more fun for him.

This morning is just wonderful: the only noise is the hum of the washing machine and screaming seagulls. Bliss!

It does sound like bliss! Sometimes I love rainy weather cos then I have a good excuse to stay in and lie on the sofa. Otherwise I feel obliged to make the most of the beautiful weather, but really, I just want to lie on the sofa!
