Or a possum?
Is it a cat do you think?
I'd say your guess is as good as mine. :D

Apparently, Barfleur is one of the "Most Beautiful Villages" in France, and only has 650 inhabitants?
It was very cute and well worth the stop, especially as it's only 15 minutes from here. I'm getting to the point where my favourite places only have three streets and where I am the only tourist. :)

We then headed off to a fabulous lighthouse/fort combo further along the coast. It was just meant to be a short stop but we ended up staying a few hours and walking all around the headland. I tabled the rest of my 'to see' list along the western coast for Saturday. I hope I'll get to post the photos from the fort walk it was a gorgeous spot too. But now it's time for bed and sleep before my big D-Day tour tomorrow.

Leaving you with one more Carbon photo just because. Comm' il est beau, mon petit ga'! :$

Hola todos! I am about to go into a puppy coma, but before I do I wanted to give you a pocitito update of our day. ML and I visited many places and I worked very hard. I even go to wear my working dog vest and look very guapo if I may say so myself. ML told me we were visiting special places where sad things happened so that I was not to wee on anything or try to steal people's lunches. Pfft! I am a gentleman dog. I do not steal lunches, I simply share them.

ML also explained that because we were going to serious places, I would be doing real assistance dog work instead of modelling. ML said we don't model at serious places out of respect for the sad things that happened.

But que suerte - how lucky - because I still got lots of sausages for being such a brave gentleman. I also met some nice people. I comforted an American man whose Labrador had just died and then met a German lady who told me my 'po' (that is German for my backside) had a cute wiggle when I walk.

ML did take my photo at a place called Omaha Beach. She said that she thought it was fine to do just a little modelling there as everyone seemed to be having a good time and were not so very serious.

ML says she needs to see some happy things tomorrow so we are back to lighthouses and beach trails. I am excited about that because I am almost certain that means I can ask people to share their lunches again, vale?

Buenas noches a todos y hasta mañana!

Oh, muy bien, Carbóncito! You are the most guapo of Spanish gentleman dogs and enhance that blue sky in Omaha Beach :inlove:
Eet sounds like you did a fabulous job as a real assistance dog and if your po is admired, then hey - you cannot help having a beautiful po, no?
Sleep tight Signor, and dream of the happy things and lunches to come...xxx

I live vicariously through your travels and photos, they give me such pleasure in a rather down phase of my life xx
Oh Jelinga...I'm glad you like Carbon's adventures but am sad for you.
How are you doing with Rourke's walking? I'm behind on some of the other threads so you may have already said and I missed it, but I was wondering about you two.

I don't think I have said yet. Rourke is having a CT scan and arthroscopy next Thursday, I didn't feel another cortisones injection and 6 weeks lead walk would make any difference! I persuaded the vet to let me walk Rourke off lead for the ten days before he had the op. My friend is taking him in and bringing him home the next day. The idea is, if the tendon is damaged then he will cut the tendon, if not, heaven knows what will happen
