Had a horrible couple of dog walks this morning. Black ice.
Here's Coco, not giving a hoot while I tramp along the grass verge, morning traffic whizzing by. That pavement is just completely iced and so slippery.

The worst, scary stuff.
We have the same round here and after a not so fun experience on Tuesday of me effectively water skiing on tarmac after a cat caught Neo unawares, I have panic bought some snow/ice grips that attach to your shoes to see if that helps. They are coming today so
, I hate this ‘in-between’ kind of snow, either do it properly or not at all!

I agree, I definitely thought that on Sunday when the heavy snow we had overnight Saturday quickly turned to slush in the rain, and caused floods further downstream.
Today , however, while still very cold, we have brilliant sunshine and a slight breeze.
It's a lovely day.

My OH carried him up to the top of our garden. Put him down in the snow.
Ted was back through the cat flap before OH came throught he back door
Still icy here too, so I haven't ventured out with Tuppence, not even into the garden, as it's too slippery. She doesn't like going out there on her own, but popped out quickly after her breakfast and presumably did what she needed to do. Later, though, when I opened the door she declined, but went to stand by the treat cupboard for her reward for going out!
The sun is shining now, so I hope the ice will disappear!

We had minus 7 early this morning , a tad nippy . We had snow yesterday afternoon which then froze on the lanes , lots of cars abandoned , roads impassable . Anna came for Reuben and said she was unable to collect a couple of dogs who lived in outlying villages . It is glorious right now , sunny and cold but tonight we are predicated to have more snow xxx

It's a beautiful sunny day, which is very welcome, but the sun does rather show up the nose marks on the lower half of the back door!

Just checked our local weather forecast. Apparently we can expect temperatures of -11 to -12 in the early hours of tomorrow morning Extra blankets have been dug out for myself and Joy, and hot water bottles are at the ready!

When we arrived in Budapest they had just had their first snow and the view from the plane was beautiful. The next day we did a walking tour and it was my first time walking on icy paths. Now I can fall over my own feet walking on carpet so you can imagine the amusing state of play with me on ice! I clung to poor Steve who twice went over himself
But gosh it was beautiful.....even so I'm sure you all hope it warms up soon
