We got to the theatre last night, the weather was pretty wild but the river didn't rise anywhere near as much as last Sunday, so no flooding yet here. Although I thought a quiet night in was what I wanted, I really enjoyed the play ( Quality Street, by J.M. Barrie, written prior to Peter Pan, and surprisingly ahead of its time) so I'm glad we were able to go. It's still a bit windy here but it seems to be quietening down.

I have to say, I would love some of your wintry weather and being cosy indoors. I do love heat, but since having a hot dog, I’ve started wishing for more winter weather. Today we had a weirdly cool day in Feb—usually the hottest month. It was lovely!

I can sympathise - Monty is soooo much better in cold or cooler temps. Everyone thinks his joints must be worse in the cold, but in terms of his ability to walk and exercise, 14 degrees C or below is great for him.

We’ve just had a huge thunderclap overhead, a massive sheet of lightning and a black weatherfront has swept across the clear sky and cut out the stars. Now it’s hammering down with rain :rain:and the wind is blowing a hooley round the house. We’ve looked it up on the weather charts and we’re right under a huge front that’s going to last for a while! Thank goodness we’ve got our woodburner fired up, I’ve loaded up the log basket and have matches and candles on standby in case of power cuts. Kipper’s hunkered on the sofa next to me and didn’t twitch at the thunder, long may that continue :)

Gosh, it sounds scary over there. Here we just have humidity and more humidity. It was great getting out of Sydney for a long weekend and going to the beautiful Hunter Valley Wine country. It's inland so whilst very hot it is a dry heat rather than humid.

Interesting on roughly at the same time we can all talk about -40c with our Canadian friends, storm/rain and flooding with UK, Dutch, German etc. friends and Humidity and heat with Australian friends. Plus we get to show pictures of labs enjoying themselves even if we don't at times....

Hope everybody is safe and enjoying this weather...hehehe
