Overcast and humid here , horsefly weather and right on cue , one of the devils got me this afternoon x

I have just got soaked for the second time today. Just dried off a soggy dog yet again. I believe better weather is on it’s way

Bottom photo is today and top photo the 2cd June , same view. I have now got to remind myself it's summer and July. The Scottish tourist board would sack me as I would never recommend a holiday here unless you like rain.

Just wet and windy here.A bit warmer than winter, but no less wet and windy. Bed for me and my GGJ.

Hmm, yes.
Beginning to regret swapping my brighter and drier East coast for the West next week.
I remember one year when we were living near Faslane that the entire 6 weeks of our school holiday only had 2 days when there was no rain at all. Must have been early 1970s.

I actually really don’t mind the Scottish weather.... yes it’s great to go on holiday to get some sun and heat, but I love coming back to the green and freshness of home

Today started murky and damp but by early afternoon the sun came out , the temperature rose and now its beautiful out there x

Here you go, what a day at the beach in July in Scotland looks like , remember it is the middle of summer. I'm wearing trousers and a fleece jacket and was freezing. I had a nice time but we sat in the car to eat our fish supper.
This is the beach at Girvan with a view to the Ailsa Craig.

@Cupcase, this is what every holiday I have been on in England and Wales looked like! So much so, I haven't been away for 12 years. I 'celebrated' my 50th wedding anniversary in June, went away on a sunny day, next day it rained and the wind blew for a whole week, had to go out and buy a jumper and raincoat!

@Jelinga if I couldn't go abroad every year, I wouldn't bother leaving home either. When Cupar was 5 months old we spent as much money going to Devon and Cornwall in my daughters campervan instead of going abroad and I vowed never again. The weather was atrocious in August.

We've had gorgeous weather all week - sunny and high teens (cold mornings though). However we are about to be smashed by another wild weather system on the weekend with cold temps and much rain and gale force winds. Am. Over. Winter.

Well not this year. We last came here just as the shut down started in March. Made it home on the last day, we were waiting for the vet!

Back here now in July for 3 weeks. We try to come here as much as we can.

The dogs comes with us and we use the Eurotunnel.

You know spring is coming when:

1. Your washing completely dries on the line for the first time since Winter hit - no need to hang it in front of the heater tonight
2. Your dog's moulting increases exponentially

Another hot day ahead as it has been for a few days now . We cant go to the beach as all the local ones are packed solid Reubs is off to Playgroup and I`m thankful that the field has much shade with a little wood plus a stream x
