Bottom photo is today and top photo the 2cd June , same view. I have now got to remind myself it's summer and July. The Scottish tourist board would sack me as I would never recommend a holiday here unless you like rain. View attachment 16790
Hmm, yes.
Beginning to regret swapping my brighter and drier East coast for the West next week.
I remember one year when we were living near Faslane that the entire 6 weeks of our school holiday only had 2 days when there was no rain at all. Must have been early 1970s.

Here you go, what a day at the beach in July in Scotland looks like , remember it is the middle of summer. I'm wearing trousers and a fleece jacket and was freezing. I had a nice time but we sat in the car to eat our fish supper.
This is the beach at Girvan with a view to the Ailsa Craig.20200718_183849.jpg

@Jelinga if I couldn't go abroad every year, I wouldn't bother leaving home either. When Cupar was 5 months old we spent as much money going to Devon and Cornwall in my daughters campervan instead of going abroad and I vowed never again. The weather was atrocious in August.

Well not this year. We last came here just as the shut down started in March. Made it home on the last day, we were waiting for the vet!

Back here now in July for 3 weeks. We try to come here as much as we can.

The dogs comes with us and we use the Eurotunnel.
