How can you walk Simba in -15 and below, what about his paws @Lisa
You have to be careful of course, but it’s very rare for him to show signs that his feet are cold. Small dogs or ones with short, thin hair can’t go outside in those temps. But the dogs I’ve had (Border Collies and Simba) both have an undercoat and can manage in cold weather. Believe it or not there are dogs who are outside dogs on farms or acerages 365 days a year here. Of course they would have insulated dog houses, or heated shelters, but still...

At any rate, when it’s really cold like this it’s too cold for me to be outside for long, never mind him. If he starts lifting a paw because his foot is cold I take a mitt off and warm up his paw in my hand. He does fine, but we are both happy to get inside again.
This weekend we are getting down to the -30s. Whoopee.
