26 degrees at 10.30 this morning . We took the dogs to the river at 9, then brought them home before we went shopping, its too hot to have them sitting in a stationary car with Paul xx

We had a load of logs delivered this morning - ready for the autumn/winter. They are deposited on the drive which is south facing. We have just bought them all around the back and stacked them. It’s currently 25 degrees here. I have already walked Red 3 miles at 6.30 so that‘s me now totally done for the day

We went for our morning walk before breakfast today ( well, before my breakfast, I wouldn't get away with making Joy have hers later) so as to avoid the heat. Breakfast in the garden on our return was very welcome and I even remembered to take a photo!Then, because she insisted on posing once she saw I was taking photos, I had to take one with Joy in it

It's quite sticky and muggy here thisevening. Apparently thunderstorms are expected
I hope they happen soon, I love a good storm and we could do with one to clear the air. Joy is too warm outside and has gone to lie on the cool tiles in the hallway. I think she'd appreciate a storm too.

We are in far-north Qld for 9 days to celebrate Steve's 60th. It was 7 degrees on our morning walk in Sydney on Friday and we flew 3 hours to minimum 19 and maximum 27. Perfect (except we miss Maxx of course)

The temperature was 31 here yesterday and still 28 when we went to bed. We had a small thunderstorm and heavy rain for a short time. It feels very muggy here but forecast to be cooler today - 24 at it’s hottest

It was the hottest day so far here yesterday, so hot that I didn’t have any energy at all and neither did Tuppy. We both had a lazy day. Annoyingly the thin band of rain missed us completely, although it had started further into the town when I was picking up my grandson from work. It should be a bit cooler today, but the garden is very dry.

Happy Birthday to Steve, the place you are staying looks idyllic. Has been horribly hot here, thank heaven cooler today. My neighbours are off to Australia on Tuesday, packing their winter clothes

We stayed at the new-ish Ardo for two nights in Townsville before coming to Magnetic Island yesterday. That pool at Ardo is spectacular and the room was lovely - much much better than The Ville (the casino) where we have stayed in the pastThis looks amazing!

Yes the Sutherland Shire got a special mention on the news this morning; it is pouring like you wouldn't believe. I am finishing my current job this week and am on 'light support' so will WFH all week. I hoped to start my new job next week but their HR has delayed it due to background checks so it might be another 3 weeks.....I am getting quite used to this unemployed gig 
I can't believe they have to do full background checks when I only left this bank on 31 Jan this year. Could I seriously have turned into a criminal in 4 months?

We have a weather warning for this afternoon, into Sunday and Monday, for thunder storms and torrential rain . We have been ferrying boxes to Debbies new home this morning so I reckon we had best take the dogs out now xxx

I have a horrid feeling that Flicka is going to be terrified of thunder. She has become very scared of coming into the dining room since the wretched crows flapped at the window and today I bumped into a kitchen cupboard and she leapt 5 ft into the air with fear at the noise. Unfortunately she has had two things drop out of the fridge onto her over the weeks which has made her worse. So I hope no promised thunder storms materialise tonight.
