Blimey the wind is horrible. Did not enjoy the lunchtime walk - was nearly blown off my feet a couple of times. Scary being near the trees and there are masses of very very old big trees around here.

Same here! I was frightened of the trees down the lane, old oaks and ash trees, the other way there is a giant Cedar which the Parish Council want felled but Malvern Council refused. Must try and find an open field this afternoon, but in the fierce wind will be blown over!

Lots of trees down and flooding. Track up to the clay shooting range blocked, but the owner cleared it & we shot some extra challenging but very rewarding targets that Storm Amy tossed around in some pleasant sunshine - until a shower blew over.

Wow, 39 degrees forecast today and it's only October. It feels fine now but it's only 7am. I am so very thankful I work from home and don't have to commute in this sort of weather plus the trains inevitably break down due to melting tracks on days like this

I think (hope) we're just getting high winds tomorrow. Thursday is a (one of my) shooting days. Today has been simply beautiful. Light breezes and lovely Autumnal sunshine.

Yes, storm Benjamin is supposed to be on its way. According to my weather app thing it's due to hit round about now. It's currently very quiet outside, but perhaps that's the calm before the storm!

Storm something or other is just hitting us and we are told to batten down the hatches for 24 hours of rain and gale force winds , much flooding expected but thankfully we are on high ground xx

He’s been with us for a few hours, hatches firmly battened down. Trying to keep Kipper’s bandaged leg dry (he’s hurt a pad) but it’s tricky!

IT seems Benjamin avoided us completely - wind wise that is, we have had rain overnight.

Same here, infact it's less windy than usual for this time of year. Or perhaps he just hasn't reached us yet?

The rain was horrendous earlier. F walked Red and returned absolutely soaked. I have a mass of wet towels to wash/dry. It is windy but forecast shows that will die down by early afternoon when I walk. Forecast shows rain here for the rest of the morning but it’s not at the moment!
