I was rubbing the mud and wet off Red’s body and paws after her morning outing. She screwed her body round to lick my arm lovingly. She is so affectionate and appreciative

Thanks for the congratulations everybody. Well... I went into spontaneous labour on the day I was due to go in for induction. But things progressed super slowly and painfully, because he was occiput posterior as it turns out. Then he wouldn't descend. Required epidural, augmentation, being manually rotated by the obstetrician, episiotomy and forceps for foetal distress.

Good boy, Chewie!!On the bright side Chewie was great when we came home today. Gentle and interested. He is now napping on the floor ignoring the baby. He is a dear.
Well that’s a liebut as my Granny used to say , worst pain soonest forgotten
It might be worth getting a pillow. Rowan is struggling to latch- either showing no interest or going nuts and shredding me...Well that’s a lieI’m still traumatised by contractions. Worst.pain.ever!
Glad you’re all ok and Chewie is being a good boyBreastfeeding is really tough, I hope it gets easier for you. Do you have one of the pillows? I found that helped a lot with getting us both comfortable. But Rory went for 10 hours one night with a few breaks here and there. I was demented by 4am when he finally went to sleep x
Sorry, Kate, but I'm with @Jen - your Granny was TOTALLY reaching with that old saying!as my Granny used to say , worst pain soonest forgotten
I`m not agreeing with Granny , after all I have had three children and can remember laughing, in a manic sort of way when in labour with my third , and thinking she must have been very lucky indeed ! xSorry, Kate, but I'm with @Jen - your Granny was TOTALLY reaching with that old saying!
My mother used to say that the joy of having a baby erased the memory of the pain, but I have a feeling she was fibbing as well. She was a 'glass half full' kinda gal.![]()
Or she helped dilute her memory with some really lovely cider?can remember laughing, in a manic sort of way when in labour with my third , and thinking she must have been very lucky indeed ! x
This could well be so , they used to make it on the farmOr she helped dilute her memory with some really lovely cider?![]()
Why don't I find that surprising? Gotta love a Paul story!!I just smiled , well laughed out loud really , when Paul walked to the car before realising he had his boxer shorts on and not his proper shorts![]()

Oh my! Imagine if neither of you had noticed until you got to your destination?I just smiled , well laughed out loud really , when Paul walked to the car before realising he had his boxer shorts on and not his proper shorts![]()
