What made you smile today?

Wow, happy birthday @MrChew 's great uncle.

In Essex Ginger is something else, if someone is a bit ginger then they would be using Cockney Rhyming Slang, do you get any of that up in Scotland?
It's pretty commonplace here, as is 'ken' with us as OH mum is from Newcastle and personally I find 'wee' really sweet and endearing. I like the Irish way of speaking too - Is that yourself? No it's himself! Really I don't know how foreign people living here understand any of it.

Great that you can take Rory to your mum's now @Jen and what a nice man he turned out to be @Candy , you must have felt so relieved to get an apology.

You sound happier now that you've finally seen your mum. ❤
This week I’ve seen 2 friends for social distance walks and I’ve seen my mam. Honestly I feel like a new person for having human contact!

I know some people are quite happy with their own company but I’m a really social person and always seeing someone or going somewhere so it’s been tough, especially with OH working 12 hour days. And he’s a typical bloke so you get minimal conversation out of him at the best of times. So although I’ve actually never had a minutes peace with Rory and Stanley, I’ve been really lonely.

I just hope everyone doesn’t take the mick and we have to go back to full lockdown.
