Random act of kindness today . On a local FB selling site , a lady was selling her wedding ring and her husbands . The reason she was selling was because her husband had lost his job in hospitality and they had very little money for Christmas , three small children to take care of . Just as I was telling Paul about it , she posted to say she had had a private message from someone saying that they didnt want to buy the rings but would send her the money

My DIL did a lovely random act of kindness today - she was behind a young woman with two small children in the chemist. The woman was very flustered and discovered she hadn’t got the money to pay for a prescription - my DIL paid for her

My little Joy made lots of people smile today. There were more folk than usual out on our morning walk (Christmas holidays, I suppose) and she was happily trotting along carrying her much loved ball. She then started approaching random strangers, flinging it down at their feet and staring up at them with those Labrador eyes, saying 'Please please throw it'. Every single person did and it made them all laugh. It makes me smile to see her live up to her name so Veryvery sweetly, my little GoodGirlJoy!

I've had to smile at my girl too this morning already, most mornings these days she comes back up to my bed after her breakfast but not this morning as I have Things to Do.
She clearly was waiting for me to open the stair gate, when I didn't but sat in an armchair she threw herself onto the sofa like a child launching itself over the arm end and some how landed on her back! She lay there for ages with all four legs in the air, staring at me from behind one leg !!
Thank God I've got her, I needed that smile
