What made you smile today?

This morning I did the usual race around and left to drop the boys at childcare and school and then went to meet a client. Ella did her usual sulk that she does when she realises I'm heading to work for the day.

But this morning I planned to work from home after my client meeting so returned home around 10.30am. You could see the happy shock on Ella's face! She bounced and bounced like she hadn't seen me for a week. It was so obvious that she'd expected me to be gone for the whole day.

For nearly 2.5 years I have WFH on a corner of the dining room table. Steve's desk was right behind me and while it was awkward I was used to it and didn't think it was bad. Steve has been slowly clearing out the 3rd bedroom (a.k.a. junk room) and we moved the spare bed in there as it is a much better fit. Also Maxx immediately adopted it as his own as it now gets nearly all-day sun.

As a surprise Steve bought me a new desk which he assembled yesterday and I have a new office chair on the way. The old second bedroom is now my office and I can't tell you how wonderful it is to have space and drawers and light AND a couch!

Maxx's new favourite napping spot (one of many). The windows are getting a clean tomorrow!

:rofl:Now that has got me chuckling @Candy

They look great, whatever made you think you wanted sensible trouser?
I'm going to be doing a lot of travelling on my tour of Turkey, and I thought plain light linen would be a good idea, but thinking about it I already have two pairs which should be enough if I give them a quick wash from time to time and I'll look forward to wearing the new ones when I get home!
