What made you smile today?

This is for anybody who's ever had a staunch cat in their lives. Joe shared this reel with me today and it made me roar with laughter so hard that my mum came to see what was wrong :cwl: This is from a Facebook reel (you will probably have to unmute it once it opens, the commentary is the key part of it) so if you can't see it please let me know and I'll upload it a different way!

Dog just wants his toy but the cat is too scary

Today Kipper had his regular treatment session with our great vet-physio, and she asked if I wanted to go with him. She’s asked a few times, and I’ve said no as I didn’t want to alter the dynamic - but she was keen to show me, so I went along today.
I was so impressed with their dynamic. She’s very much +ve and force-free in her whole approach, and it was fascinating watching Kipper interact with her - he was clear in his body language, and they’ve built up trust so that when he said ‘enough’ she listened, and when she asked him for a movement she knew he could do he gave it to her. She understood when he needed thinking time, and he was very good at settling into their routine - his face in the hydro-treadmill was lovely, he went into the zone and was very steady.
It was a real privilege and made me smile to have that insight.

Had a dog in the house yesterday - my first dog cuddles since Xena. Joe's cousin, wife, and baby came over for Korean bbq and we asked them to bring Klaus, their greyhound. He loitered around the table, ate what the baby dropped, licked the plates 😍. He then sat demurely on Xena's cushion, you know, the bed that she refused to sit on 🤦 I gave them her leftover kibble and a bag of venison hooves and he very gingerly nibbled away on a hoof - honestly, such a calm and gentle approach compared to a lab! It was lovely to have them over. He got very shy whenever I tried to get a front-on photo 😆. Also, how does an animal with such short, sleek fur shed so much 🤣
