What made you smile today?

He’s fine. ☺ I’m actually surprised he landed so well at his age. All those years of motorcycles taught him some serious falling skills, I guess!
My FIL was the same,,he fell a lot, seemed to know how to "roll into it" and never broke a thing. Put it down to years of playing rugby in his case.
Glad he's OK.
My friend unfortunately not so great, fell in a carpark 3 days ago, broke her wrist, and has been sat in hospital awaiting surgery to plate it (hopefully done by now 🤞)
It can get any of us anytime.
Keep safe all.

Yesterday my dad took a little tumble off his mobility scooter taking a curb too sharp. This did NOT make me smile - in fact he about gave me a heart attack as he ended up on his back in the street.

However once we established he was unhurt and we just needed to figure out how to get him up off the asphalt, hilarity ensued because Carbón decided to ‘help’ by crawling on top of my dad and laying flat on most of Dad’s torso. This is what he does with me when he thinks I’m not feeling well (his version of a weighted blanket?) and clearly thought the same sort of emergency care was needed by my dad. Who then started to flounder around on the ground even more, trying to dislodge ‘helpful’ Carbon.

Dad did not appreciate Carbon’s efforts but I thought it was very sweet and clever of him. Plus the resulting laughter all around lightened the mood in an otherwise awkward situation.

Señor Carbón to the rescue! 🚑

Glad your dad is OK. Carbon is a very good boy, unlike Ella who barks and play bows at you on the ground if you happen to fall over 🤦😆

When I fell over outside my two washed my face :giggl:
Yes as soon as I get on the ground to do back stretches Maxx waddles over immediately to give kisses. Then he stalks my green spikey ball that I lie on. He has always been obsessed with it so years ago I bought a red one for him from the physio but he completely ignores it and only wants mine. Amusing story - the physio asked whether I had lost my green one when I bought the red one (I had only bought mine a week earlier). I blithely replied "no, this is for my dog"....the look on his face was priceless

I finally made Stilton a stocking last month, so now both boys have a Christmas stocking - they each have a Kong gyro toy (they shared an old one that was very well chewed), and a soft toy each; Stilton has a squirrel which is squeaker free so might last a bit longer, and Kipper has a red panda. I can’t wait for them to have them tomorrow! IMG_5728.jpeg

We're going to my brother's for Christmas this year and today I started my list of things to take. I seemed to remember stuffing some kongs and leaving them in the freezer last time we were there, so spent him a message asking if I actually had.
He sent a photo back of three frozen ones and a message that read 'three more kings than dogs at the moment ' (predictive text, presumably) So I replied 'King's? Be careful or next thing you'll be singing 'We three kongs'!'
He sent me back this:
'We three kongs of freezerland are
Rock solid hard and too cold by far
Tasting of chickin, great for lickin,
Peaceful dogs we are.
O dog of wonder, dog of light,
Dog with slightly imperfect sight,
Forward leading, still proceeding
Guide us with thy perfect snite (Ancient term for snout.)'

Which made me chuckle and wonder if perhaps he's started on the Christmas booze early!🤣
That’s brilliant 🤩
