Don't feel so sorry for Monty... If I'd have taken a video you would have heard a volley of ear piercing woofs to let me know he was stuck. πŸ™‰
It's a bit frustrating, marooning himself behind things -such as a dish on the floor - is bizarre, especially when you could shake a jar of biscuits in another room and he will suddenly be able to squeeze past it if he puts his mind to it. There's definitely a link here to his surface phobias, I've had to buy another new mat for the conservatory this week so he doesn't have to walk on the laminate anywhere , especially when he's stepping down off the sofa. He even seems to get stuck on his raised bed sometimes, whining gently until you encourage him to stand up and step off it.

Maxx is exactly the same @Natalie; he will walk into a room through a small space and then won't come back out unless the object is moved or one of us puts a hand gently on the back of his neck and walk with him. He will crawl into tiny spaces to get enticing objects such as a slipper or a crumb of food but something totally scary like a towel immobilises him. He will sometimes leap of 'his' king size bed in the spare room and other times whine and bark until someone comes and helps him down

Not a good start to Joy's day today. First of all I had the cheek and temerity to have muesli for breakfast instead of toast, so no toast for her to help with. Then she started making her polite 'Mmnnff' noise, which means she wants me to open the door to the garden. I did warn her that it was very wet out, but she insisted. So, door open, dog out. Two seconds later, dog back in, doing HUGE flaps and rolls as if she'd spent half an hour swimming. My funny little drama queen!

I left my beloved, battered old Barbour cap in a cafe at a station on Sunday. I have tried to phone them with no joy. This morning I made a 20 mile round trip to the cafe - when I got there the man was standing outside chatting to the station staff. As soon as he saw me he mimed a hat. YAY! I mimed a hat back. It was behind the ticket office counter. I am very happy.
