Just catching up with the Sunday paper. Eva Wiseman's column in the Observer Magazine, 'After Blue Monday there's a whole week of emotions to follow' has had me chuckling, as has her One more thing.... about Harry, Meghan and the Daily Mail response. Funny! Has anyone else seen it?:cwl:

Kipper has been squeaking a bit this evening, but we couldn’t work out what he was after. A few minutes later he came trotting in from the kitchen with a set of car keys dangling from his mouth looking very pleased - he wanted a game! So we played a few rounds of ‘find it’ and now he’s happy again :D

Oh, bless the boy! 'Find it!' is one of Joy's most favouritest EVER games!:dug:

That's so wonderful --- I simply love it when they think things up for themselves in that way and can communicate it to us :sun::sun::star::happyfeet::happyfeet:.

I reckon that's my smile for today :penguinkiss:

Thanks @Selina27 , I think this is exactly it! I’m turning into a proper “he understands every work I say!” dog parent now, but this idea is flying for me at the moment-
and can communicate it to us
The more I stop and listen, and give Kipper an opportunity to tell me slowly in his own way, the more I realise he’s trying to communicate a whole world of stuff. Even his tiny little nose ruffles have more meaning than I realise. I’m trying to make more time to listen :listening:

Yes totally this.

It's great that they have the confidence to be like that, I think.

I'm glad you both @Selina27 and @HAH have said that dogs do communicate as my children are convinced I am crazy! We are back down south at the moment and Hattie & Charlie have the same bed but one has a cushion and vet bed the other a cushion with a double snuggly duvet. The duvet one is their favourite. Charlie goes into this bed and Hattie comes to me does her 'tap dance' which she does when she wants to go outside. I go to the door, no she doesn't need too. Instead she goes to the bed Charlie is snuggled up in looks at me, barks, looks at me. She is expecting me to turf Charlie out of her favourite bed  xxx
