I managed a quick walk with Cassie round the lake just before dark after a day of yet more heavy rain and just as Storm Dennis started revving up here.

She was so happy and excited and the whole 20 minutes was a series of zoomies which made me smile big time. A dark day on the eve of a howling gale, and at rising 4 she still feels like that about life.

I took my son and choccy idiot to watch my OH play football.this afternoon.My son and Hunter just ran and played and "shared" football tricks together.. Hunter adores Daniel and I just loved hearing hear my son giggle and laugh with him. Hunter is now in snore Heaven.

I'm (trying) to work in the dining room but am easily distracted. From the lounge I can hear OH shouting 'CHARGE' I can hear Monty growling, OH growling back, the sound of toys ripping apart, the occasional death knell squeak of something soft and fluffy - OH laughing and the occasional bark and 'ouch' as Monty jumps on him.

Dad did a photo shoot for the dogs while I was doing my long 13 hour shift today. This picture he took made me smile

I smiled when Rowan grabbed as much corn fritter as both his little hands could hold and tried to shovel it all in at once. Boy loves his food.

We just booked a little midweek beach getaway with the dog! It will be our first time away with him. How exciting!

During an impromptu visit at Grandmas, Shamas "met" a new cat. There was a lot of whining for the first few minutes, but after 45min of marking calm behavior whilst the cat sat quietly on a lap across the room, shamas went to sleep. Went to sleep! With a cat in the room!

My youngest son (the one without a baby) phoned and said he enjoyed my company last week - and how about we go away for a weekend in July, just the two of us for my birthday present - maybe to a spa place.
