What made you smile today?

After her Lazy Sunday Joy is back to her usual self today, full of energy, racing round the Moor, playing with other dogs, swimming and doing zoomies, no trace of a limp. I was right not to worry unduly, she just wanted a quiet day yesterday I think. I'm glad she was able to communicate that to me. Such a clever girl! Makes me smile!
You've got a good one there!

@Candy I love when people leave stuff out even if I don't take anything. It just makes me feel happy that people do that.

There have been a lot 'corona clean outs" in the old town lately with people leaving boxes out in front of their doors "to gift". The treasures! Carbon is living in hope that someone wants to give away dog toys or FOOD but it hasn't happened yet. Summer's not quite over, there's still hope. 😂

Watching television thisevening there was a baby elephant born. Joy was fast asleep (or so I thought) at my feet. I said out loud to the baby elephant "Oh! You little sweetheart!" Joy suddenly wide awake, paws on my lap, kissing my face and wagging. Clearly, in her mind I could only possibly be addressing her in such a manner! My funny GoodGirl!

Nathan was able to go to childcare today. I had a health nurse appointment with Jackson, Nathan wasn't allowed to come and OH is a "permitted worker" (i.e. an essential worker in an industry that is permitted/required to remain open in the lockdown) so we qualified for him to attend. There were four other kids there and they were all so excited to see each other.

It's also meant that I've been able to spend a day just with Jackson and Ella. I'm now up to date on all of my housework and we've enjoyed a lovely walk in the sunshine. I feel refreshed and ready to make it through the next 16 days (until our stage four lockdown is supposed to come to an end)
