I think they often don't like the way the camera hides our face. And the lens can look like a strange eye. Most of the time they just need conditioning that it's a good thing (camera = treats) and they're fine with it.

This afternoon I tried to teach Holly to roll over. She would roll onto her back but couldn't quite get the idea of going all the way round. I decided to demonstrate it to her.
