She's very like Joy in her love of balls and skill at finding them. Joy's record was eight in three days! That was during the first lockdown though, when I suspect a lot of dogs were getting more walks and ball games than usual!:inlove::dug:

I had already walked the dogs, but my DiL suggested a walk in the park with my grandson. However, he woke up late from his afternoon nap, so my five minute journey was delayed by roadworks and the school pick-up traffic and I got to their house when it was already dusk. Good job I took my torch with me, especially as I need to rattle my keys against it to keep the deer away at one point. I’ve never played football with a toddler by torchlight before!

I was on a Teams meeting today (audio only thankfully) and Steve was on supervisory duty. I was mid-speel when I saw with horror a madly wagging yellow furry tail making it's way around the dining room table where I work. The next minute Maxx was licking my armpit (eeewww - but he likes my deoderant and I had a sleeveless top on) and I couldn't help but give a choked squeal. I had to excuse myself and shoo him back into the kitchen where a totally nonplussed husband was like 'whassup?'

Robyns post reminded me of something that still makes me laugh , it was summer a couple of years ago when I was in the kitchen with Nelly and Paul answered the phone in the sitting room , it was the doctors surgery for me . So, he wanders into the kitchen with the phone and exclaims ` Oh bless her , lying flat out on the floor to try and keep cool ` . Hasty explanation to the nurse that he was referring to Nelly, not me xx

I found this video this morning which made me smile. This is Willow last January. There had been some avalanche blasts that morning, so I left her at home when we took the others out for their morning walk so I could go out just with her afterwards, in case she needed help. She was so playful and full of life, and watching it back makes me explode with pride for her, knowing how far she has come.

Reubs has gone off to Playgroup , so I walked Nelly at Golitha , we did quite a big loop . The pathways are covered in leaf and look so pretty . Just coming to the end of our walk was a young couple with a little boy of about 2 years , he was carrying a big seaside bucket . The Daddy said ` ok , when I count to three, off you go and lets see how you do ` . I asked them what he was going to colllect , they replied Leaves , oh bless him . They went on to say that once his bucket was full , he would tip them out and start again
