Temperatures have returned to a more reasonable level, phew! Simba enjoyed the shade yesterday in the back yard, it was around 25C.
My Reuben was carrying his beloved ball , as was the other Reuben , I chattered for a few minutes then they walked on ahead and we got to the river where I did my usual chucking the ball up and down the bank . Eventually , leg pain got the better so I called him up and began to walk back whereupon he decided that Reuben 2 was a much better prospect and began to leg it in the opposite direction towards his new friend who was by now well out of sight . I called , I whistled and called again , and guess what ? Two Reubens appeared round the corner
I could hear the couple calling their dog so they both ran back
I thought to myself that this could go on for hours if I wasnt careful but had left my shoulder bag with dog whistle in the car by mistake . I had no strength in my leg to go and fetch my boy so began to slowly walk back to the car with Nelly when out of the corner of my eye, I spotted him about 50 yards behind me , plodding along towards me and thankfully on his own this time . No harsh words were spoken , after all he was only responding to his name
Ooooh! What did you see? February 2020 was also the last time I went to the theatre and I miss it so mu!We have been to the theatre tonight - first time since February 2020. It was so good. No interval, socially distanced, had to keep masks on and all very safely done. Can’t beat live theatre![]()

. It's great that, despite your current difficulties, you can find something to laugh about.
I will do definitely , Bodmin is only about 12 miles from us so it is very likely indeed . Michelle , Reubens breeder also said that she has occasional contact with Rubens owners so she was going to ask them if they had visited Herodsfoot woods yesterday , wouldnt it just be so grand ? xxOh you must ask them if you see them again Kate x
I've seen this photographer's pictures of Fiona's two dogs and they're beautiful. Apparently she particularly enjoys taking photos of black dogs, so I'm looking forward to seeing her shots of Joy. A lovely, thoughtful present that has really made me smile!
