What made you smile today?

This morning when walking Finn it started to rain a little. When we reached the street corner it poured….We were waiting under big trees but it kept on pouring and I decided to head back to home. So I unleashed Finn so we both could run towards home. Finn rather liked it and started to jump up at me, run again and came back to jump again. He was thinking that it was a really nice game I was playing. In the end we were soaked and I had to laugh for Finn got the zoomies….

Yesterday I took a call from an undertaker regarding a patient who had passed away. "He's now at xxx chapel of rest. He looks amazing" I was a little taken aback and replied "oh, that's nice". The undertaker restated "he's for cremation. Tell the Dr he's for cremation." Well it sounded like "he looks amazing". Oh ground, please open up.

We have a new ( to us ) mobility scooter  We set off this morning for a small town not far from Newquay , took a wrong turning and got horribly lost in the middle of nowhere . We spotted a farmer leaning on the gate to a field so stopped to ask directions . Now I`m used to the Cornish accent but honestly , we couldnt tell a word he was saying , so we smiled, said thank you and drove on . What should have been a 45 minute trip ended up taking an hour and a half but we got the scooter which is in pristine condition, hardly used at all and best of all , the seller knocked 30 pounds off the asking price which we had been happy to pay . Then to get home , Reuben now on the back seat which he is not used to but was good as gold but yes, we did it again , took the wrong road ending up in Newquay which was packed solid . Paul was just beginning to get a little fractious as the traffic was horrendous , when he spotted a sign for McDonalds , junk food saved his sanity  The scooter can stay in the boot for now as I plan using it on Thursday , Reubs is with Anna tomorrow , and relax

Australia, especially NSW, needs amazing moments right now. We just watched Jess Fox won gold in the women's C1 canoe slalom and there is an amazing story behind her. She goes to the same gym as my niece in western Sydney and it was just amazing
I've watched so much of the Olympics. Screamed Zac Stubblety-Cook home this morning 😆 and was soooooooooooo nervous through Jess' run this evening.

Comedy moment
Homer and I came back from a rather wet muddy walk, Hubby takes one look and says best you put his coat on him. So get Homer's ruff wear robe over his head and wrap him up and am then busy wiping down the mud splattered all over the kitchen cupboards, not noticing the back door is open. H goes straight through the door and into his full paddling pool for a wallow with his coat on and then comes inside flooding the kitchen floor. A ruff wear coat fully soaked can hold quite a lot of water!
