Would also like to add that our visit from Mags made me smile. It was lovely to see her and have a catch-up in person, as well as to share a couple of glasses of wine with her by the Fireinametalbox.

When my grandma turned 90 (many moons ago, she’s since shuffled off) I remember her whispering to me “I still feel 16”. Always stuck with me. I still feel 9.

My mother used to say she still felt 24 and couldn’t wrap her head around the ‘old lady’ in the mirror. She died at 69 and back then I didn’t completely get what she meant, but boy howdy, now I do. I keep thinking if I’m going to look like I do on the outside, I should be gaining some wisdom on the inside.

But that would be a ‘nope’ - I think I got stuck at about 26!

People tell me so often that Carbón looks at me with such adoration and attention, then I point out the treat pouch that I wear near my chest…and they see what is REALLY going on.
