What made you smile today?

I agree.
I was thinking the other day how different we all are.
Different words, different food, different attitudes, scattered in the four corners of the world.
But our love and respect for dogs makes us speak the same language and gives us common understanding.
Gave me a warm fuzzy feeling too :hug::hug:
This made me smile today. And I completely agree

So more of a warm feeling than a smile, but we have a couple of people going through hard times at the moment, and I love how we have a place to offer support in one section, and a place to help cheer them up in another. We do have a wonderful community of people here and I'm so grateful to be a part of it.
And this also made me smile today :)

My dogs made me smile last night. DH and I went to a concert in Cambridge (an hour’s drive away from here if you get a good journey but that rarely happens - traffic is dire). We were away nearly 8 hours - longest we have ever left them.. I was dreading leaving the dogs and I really wouldn’t do this very often but they were well fed and very well exercised before we left and then a neighbour friend came in twice to let them out in the garden, fuss them and give them their kongs, then settle them for the night. (She then very kindly text me each time to reassure me). They were their usual waggy selves when we got in 😊

Waiting at the reception in our local vet surgery. I had Benson, @Mr Beanwood had taken Casper, who had earlier pee'ed with much gravitas on their Christmas tree. The senior partner, Brian comes out of one of the consulting rooms. He looks at Benson with a slow cheeky smile, Benson found this just irresistible! He goes all google-eyed ( you know that look????) and like a spinning top on skates, races over to say hello and I end up in the vet's arms! With an embarrassed "Hello Brian" I disentangle myself much to the amusement of the staff and everyone else in the waiting room! It made me smile though....Benson LOVES going to the vets.....:inlove::pull:

Just enjoying how Ella completes our family. Our electrician came to sort some wiring for us. Ella lounges around, wandering up to inspect his work from time to time and gets up for a full body wag and cuddle with him to say goodbye. He compliments us on how much a a beautiful, well mannered, friendly dog she is :inlove:.

Then, we pop out the front to water the new plants and Ella has a sniff around the garden. She glanced to me so I squat down and stick my arms out - Ella instantly goes into "tongue out, bum tucked under, crazy eyes" and catapults herself towards me, beginning a 5 minute, crazy Ella, zoomies/bum tuck/play fighting session :ram::tail:%)

Finally, we're inside this evening and Nathan wants to play with Ella (we allow him to approach her but monitor her response and try to educate him). He picks one of her ropes and takes it over to ask her to play. She then engages in a lovely, gentle game of tug with Nathan, never pulling too hard for him.

:heart::heart::heart::heart:
