I don’t know what you’re talking about.. Nathan definitely is high up in the pecking order in this house. LOL!
Ugh, in all honesty it’s just not the best. It just needs a lot doing and right now feels like a bit of a mountain.
It’s a lot quieter and the estate is lovely.
We’re pretty much unpacked now and the decorator is coming in a couple of weeks. We’re starting upstairs first so all 3 bedrooms and a new bathroom is going in.
I’ve picked my tiles for the bathroom. They’re pink. Nathan hates them, I don’t care I’ll send before and afters of it when it’s been done.
Downstairs is going to be a much bigger job.
This is the downstairs floor plan so we’re planning on putting a wall up in the living room/dining area and extending that wall out slightly to square it off. Then knocking the kitchen wall down to have an open plan kitchen/diner. I might extend the kitchen out further to make it a bigger space but I’m torn between that and a sunroom at the moment.
But that’s the plans for the next 18 months.
Rory and Stanley have settled in straight away which is good though. They both seem happy.

Wow, I can see you've had an architect commissioned to make the changes to the floor plan! 
I much prefer a kitchen/diner to a living room/diner. It means if you have people round, you can be in the kitchen and still be sociable. Remember those days?

We use our sunroom as a sitting room, I guess a "family room". How you use it depends on whether it gets the sun and how much insulation it has I guess.
It could extend your area for entertaining too and help bring the outside in as they say.
Having a means of closing it off us a good idea though.

We have had a visitor again today!
His owner said that she had spent the morning ironing because of the rain, then when the sun came out she thought they'd go for a walk and he brought her straight here! He and GGJ are very clearly good friends now, both charging around madly for the first couple of minutes, then they settle down very nicely together. Of course I absolutely love to see him and his owner, but I can't help worrying a bit that he might be forgetting what his job is. I suppose if we're all happy with the situation then it's probably OK and he always leaves quite happily when he's told it's time to go. My neighbours have told me that he brought her here last week as well, when we were away . I presume that if it was causing his owner any problems she could ask for advice from the Guide Dogs Association. What does everyone else think?

I guess @Boogie is the expert but maybe he thinks you are part of the routine? It is nice for Keir that it is not all work and no play!
Were they just out and about or did they have a planned destination?

Maybe this is as much about Keir's owner than Keir? I obviously don't know anything about her but maybe she's enjoying your friendship @Candy and is pleased to have found a nice doggy person on her doorstep?
Unless there's any sign of him not doing his job when he should be, I wouldn't worry. And even if it is happening, I wouldn't have thought visiting you and GGJ every few weeks is anything to do with it?

How does an owner let the dog know that they want to go to the bank rather than the supermarket? Or do they have such a set routine that the dog knows where to go each day?
