After wonderful visits with
@Rosie, Paul and Pongo and then the
@Beanwood crew (including Otter's first puppy class!

) yesterday Carbon and I rolled back into sunny and hot Cornwall. We're back in the big house for a week, then Saturday we move over to the cottage for our last five days. I wanted to make it an even two weeks, but both of 'our' houses down here are rented starting 13 June, so that's the day we'll be making our way slowly eastward towards Germany where we're due to land the 24th.
As nice as it was to get a Wales taster mini-trip (and even better to get to go visiting!), driving back to Padstow yesterday felt like coming home. Considering I've been traveling for nearly nine years now, I'm rather amazed to have found yet another 'home' this late in the game. But there's no doubt: northwest Cornwall has now been added to Regensburg and Cadiz as my unofficial home-away-from-home towns. To be honest, I'd gratefully take Regensburg off that list at the moment, but I also know that's more to do with my German taxes and immigration than the town itself. I'll get my Bavarian mojo back!
For now I'm going to enjoy our last days in Cornwall for this time around, including some very special last visits.
Carbon is still worn out from the
@Beanwood visit, so today was low key. We went on our favourite walk and he didn't even try to eat the sheep poo (much). I don't know if this was from sheer exhaustion (what did you do to him while we were at puppy class,
@Mr Beanwood ?), the temporary change to kibble last week or a miraculous surge of maturity. Or maybe Carbon has been replaced by an alien pod person?
Whatever the cause, very proud of my Besito Boy. His besotted ML loves him.
(That's the other side of his adorable
@Beanwood bandana, by the way

)
