Poor Stanley.....he worked hard for those whatever-they-are-pellet-thingys and then the nasty vet took them back in a mean way.... Good thing your dog walker was on the ball. They do look like feed pellets of some kind but people can add poisonous crap to pellets with sinister intentions :(...

Very unlikely to cause a problem... In similar situations in the past our vet has advised feeding a heap of bread or something high fibre, and, in the case of a swallowed toothpick, feeding cotton wool balls soaked in paraffin (yes our Labrador ate these with gusto). I’d just keep an eye on him...

Get pure lanolin - no additives at all. Pure lanolin won’t sting :)

I’m sure it’ll be fine. The whole area has been traumatised and it’s jus the old bits making way for new, untraumatised bits. If you can get lanolin I’d use that. It is the best for dry, cracked skin. A thin cotton glove (at least for sleeping in) will help to keep it protected and clean.

That’s great @JES72. A bit of a wait but it’s good timing by the sound of it. It’s a lengthy op as a root canal is slow, careful work so he’ll prob be a bit out of sorts for a couple of days after the experience. He’ll appreciate having you on tap :)

That’s very good to hear. I sure she’s so much more comfortable with an empty bladder too. Glad she is enjoying her new food.
