Advice for first viewing of litter

Yes - it was a bit of a sad story. He was 1.5 years when they adopted him from the rescue centre and it gradually became apparent he was reactive to other dogs and some people. They spent a year working with him trying to fix it...they went to numerous behaviourists etc (although their advice...

Thank you for the suggestions! I shall pass them on :) I would invite them to join the forum but I am worried I have called them or their previous dog a kibble-brain in past posts...😂

Advice for first viewing of litter

Apparently Mum is 3/4 poodle, 1/4 lab and Dad is a full red fox lab. The pup looks massive to me for 8 weeks?? But I don’t know anything about puppies really.

Advice for first viewing of litter

Before we get excited, it is not for me! My mum and stepdad are going to see a litter of red fox labradoodles today. They are already 8 weeks old. Any advice on what to check and look out for when they are there? They will be there in an hour or so, I’ve only just heard about it! Pups’ mum and...

The Kennel Club - no hoomans allowed!

Stanlee you should make the most of your mummy and steal as many shoes as possible and other antix whilst she can chase you. Because if she is like my pig-mummy she will soon get too fat to be chasin’ you about and instead will say “OhBuggeritHaveTheDamnShoe” and “MyFeetAreTooSwollenAnyway” and...

Hmm, I think I would like to bite a sheeps. I could get sossij any old time, best bite the sheeps whilst you have the chance. Pig mummy says we have to have seerious words about sheeps when we go to Wales. Apparently you get in big trubble if you bite the sheeps there. She said something about...

How did you choose your dogs name?

Indie was given to her by her previous family, but as you know she gradually became the Pig! But it’s strange, when l give her a command, I use Indie... “Indie, sit” etc. But we would always say “I’ll take the Pig out”, “have you fed the Pig” etc, and when I chat to her I always call her the Pig...

    Andorra challenges

Glad you are feeling better! And thank you for the explanation, it’s clear now! I did the scatter thing to change the association with fireworks and it worked really well - she didn’t really get upset at all this year. Ok takes the pressure off a bit if I am not trying to preempt the first bark!

    Andorra challenges

Sorry to hear things are tricky at the moment! I was just wondering about the scatter approach. The Pig is a bit reactive towards unexpected or sudden people, and does a lot of alert barking at people walking past the house (which has reduced me to tears recently when two-leggy Willow has just...
